ITINERARY FOR THE TOUR

DAY 01

Kathmandu
Arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, meet our representative and transfer to your hotel.
Evening stroll around Thamel or visit local markets.

DAY 02

Kathmandu to Dolalghat & start rafting
After breakfast, drive east from Kathmandu to Dolalghat—the starting point of your Sun Koshi adventure. Your guides will conduct a safety orientation before you begin paddling down calm waters and fun rapids. Enjoy dinner and overnight camping on the riverside beach.

DAY 03

Rafting to Pucharghat
The journey features a mix of exciting rapids and scenic cruising. You’ll raft past local villages and terraced fields while experiencing the power of Nepal’s famous whitewater. Evening bonfire and camping at Pucharghat.

DAY 04

Rafting to Dovantar
The river widens as you continue deeper into nature. Paddle through exhilarating rapids surrounded by forested hills. Enjoy a relaxing night under the stars at Dovantar campsite.

DAY 05

Rafting to Rabuwa Ghat
Challenge more thrilling rapids as the river enters a dramatic gorge. Look out for birds and river wildlife along the banks. Overnight camping at the scenic Rabuwa Ghat.

DAY 06

Rafting to Rasuwa Ghat
Challenge more thrilling rapids as the river enters a dramatic gorge. Look out for birds and river wildlife along the banks. Overnight camping at the scenic Rabuwa Ghat.

DAY 07

Final Rafting to Chatara
Today marks the final stretch of your thrilling Sun Koshi rafting journey. After breakfast at the riverside camp, you’ll pack up and begin paddling through the last exciting rapids and calm sections of the river. As you approach Chatara, the end point of the expedition, the scenery begins to open into wide plains—signifying the transition from the mid-hills to the lowland Terai region.
Upon reaching Chatara, you will celebrate the successful completion of one of the world’s most exciting multi-day river adventures. The rafting team will help with equipment organizing and packing.

DAY 08

Drive back to Kathmandu
After breakfast, drive back to Kathmandu with incredible memories of your multi-day river expedition. Free evening to explore the city. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.
