FLY EVEREST HOLIDAYS · Nepal sacred journeys
Muktinath & Janakpur Pilgrimage Tour – 8 Nights / 9 Days
From the holy shrines of Kathmandu and Janakpur to the Himalayan sanctuary of Muktinath, discover Nepal through devotion, living traditions and remarkable landscapes.
This thoughtfully arranged nine-day pilgrimage with FLY EVEREST HOLIDAYS brings together sacred Hindu temples, the Mithila heritage of Janakpur, Pokhara's serene lakeside setting and the revered Muktinath Temple in Mustang. Domestic flights and private ground transfers connect places of worship across the hills, valleys and high Himalayas.
The journey includes meaningful opportunities for darshan, prayer and cultural discovery — from Pashupatinath Aarti and the shrines of Janakpur to Muktinath's sacred water spouts, Jwala Mai, Kagbeni Sangam and Manakamana Temple. It is designed as a cultural and spiritual tour rather than a trekking expedition, although the Muktinath portion involves high-altitude travel and some walking.
Sacred experiences along the way
Kathmandu – Shiva and timeless heritage
Attend Pashupatinath Temple Aarti and visit Guhyeshwari Mata, Doleshwar Mahadev, Jal Narayan (Budhanilkantha) and prominent UNESCO-listed monuments, including Bhaktapur, Changu Narayan, Boudhanath and Patan.
Janakpur – sacred Mithila
Fly to Janakpurdham, associated with Goddess Sita and the Ramayana, and visit Janaki Mandir, Ram Mandir and Vivah Mandap. The further Dhanushadham visit depends on same-day flight and road timings.
Muktinath & Kagbeni – Himalayan pilgrimage
Travel via Pokhara and Jomsom to the sacred Muktinath area for temple darshan and, where suitable, ritual bathing and prayer. Continue to Jwala Mai, Vishnu Paduka and Kagbeni Sangam for traditional worship and ancestral offerings, according to individual preference.
Pokhara & Manakamana – lakes and blessings
Enjoy Sarangkot's sunrise viewpoint, visit Bindhyabasini Temple, Tal Barahi Temple, Devi's Fall and Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave. Return to Kathmandu via the Manakamana Temple cable car pilgrimage.

Travel with preparation and peace of mind
Muktinath sits at approximately 3,800 metres, reached rapidly by air and road. High altitude, cold weather and physical exertion can affect travellers. Discuss fitness or medical concerns with a qualified clinician before travel; follow your guide's safety instructions and do not force a ritual bath if conditions are unsafe.
Pokhara–Jomsom flights depend on weather and may face seasonal disruption. Some same-day temple visits are ambitious, especially Day 2 in Janakpur. Final scheduling, entry access and any flight-delay arrangements should be reconfirmed with FLY EVEREST HOLIDAYS before publication and booking.
